Meet Your Neighbor Event

I just learned about this event, which is slated for tomorrow. Yet again, I can't figure out where the heck these events are publicized -- I am on the lookout for this sort of stuff, yet somehow I always find out about them moments before they happen. At any rate, hope to see you there!

When the walls come tumblin' down

We awoke this morning to the sound of jackhammers. Normally, I'm not a fan of jackhammer noise. But this morning, I found the sound downright exciting.

The jackhammer meant the odd little building on the south side of the park was getting demolished. This building, which sits (well, sat) near the Holt/Mountain View intersection provided visual cover for ne'erdowells intent on staying out of view of police and other passers-by. Judging by the smells wafting from the building, it served as a urinal, as well. Oh, and a canvas for taggers. A multi-purpose building with no real purpose, I suppose.

Good riddins!
