Please forgive me if I am out of line here. However, I feel this issue is of great importance to the Citizen of Pomona.
Do you remember when you would get on a plane with a child, they would tell you to fasten your seat belts and hold your children on your laps. This makes certain that "you" are secure and able to render assistance to your child, if the need should arise. The city of Pomona is like the adult who has not secured his seat-belt, floundering every which way to stay afloat. Our city is greatly in need of: more police, less burdensome homeless services that generate no tax base, a solid economic development plan, and jobs for its citizens. Presently, taking place in the City Planning Commission is the approval process for the development of three new Mental Health Housing Facilities within the City of Pomona. Impact to the city at large will: increase an undue burden and add calls for service to our already overtaxed PD, place school children in adjoining schools at risk, increase crime, add to the over-concentration of homeless/mental health facilities in our city, and increase the current burden on the administration of City social service programs, already impacted.
This project undermine the prosperity and growth of Pomona. We are already overwhelmed with such services, we have done our fair share.
Please help to oppose the approval of these burdens laden project by attending the City Planning Commission meeting tonight August 28/13 at 7:00 PM. At the City Council chambers and oppose The Development of 3 Tri-City Mental Health Housing Facilities.
